Missionary reach
A special thanks to those who prayed for the annual ZEFA Conference which was a great success. We haven’t met for two years because of covid restrictions and were restricted to 130 beds as Sunbury has limited their capacity and is no longer allowing foam mattresses on the floor as they did before.Prior to covid we had between 180 and 230 attending so it was necessary to ask church leaders to pre-register and pay their fees before the conference. Praise the Lord! We had about 60 people register and pay before the start of the Conference, then we had about 100 attending the Friday evening and a total of about 130 attending on the Saturday. There was a great spirit of fellowship and excitement as these leaders had a chance to reconnect face-to-face.
The new Administrator Paul Seelhammer did a great job of handling the various aspects of the Conference and in leading the Business meeting. Andy will continue the Assistant Administrator and mentor him for the next two to three years.
During this past month Andy preached at Pinetown and Hayfields Baptist churches and at Glenwood Community (previously Bulwer Road Baptist). Andy also presented a Marriage Officer Workshop under the auspices of UBI when about 60 people attended. It was great advertising for UBI and many previous students attended as well as some of our own Zionist contacts.
We have been blessed to be able to visit with friends and family while we are in the Pietermaritzburg area. We are here until the 17thNovember if you would like to contact us.
FAMILY NEWS: Heather has had a great time with her sister for a few days. Janet and her friends from the UK arrived in Durban on Tuesday 25th and Heather drove them to Hluhluwe using Andrea’s car. They spent a few days visiting the area and the Hluhluwe / Mfolozi Game Reserve before travelling to our house in Hibberdene where they stayed in “#104 - the house next door” for the weekend. Andy joined them for the weekend and when they travel to the Bluff in Durban on the Monday for a few days, he will return to UBI to continue teaching. He also preached for the first time at a local church called Mizpah which is a non-denominational fellowship just outside Hibberdene town. Then the Graham family joined us for a genuine South African Braai.
Thanks for your faithful prayers and loving support,
May the Lord richly bless you all
