January 2022 update

News From Damon & Gigi

Looking ahead in 2022:

As you know, Damon did his Baptist Union interview last year where the BU accepted him onto their ministerial candidate list. Since the end of October, last year Damon and I have been commuting to Worcester where Damon has been sharing the word of God, getting to know the congregation and was in conversation with the elders over a possible call. On Thursday 20 January we received a letter of call to the Worcester Baptist Fellowship and have accepted the position.  Worcester Baptist Fellowship was founded just before COVID-19 and is a small congregation. This position is therefore a bi-vocational position until the congregation grows and is self-sustainable. We will still be working for INcontext International and resume our normal responsibilities. In the next few months, Damon and I will be moving to Worcester to be able to engage with the community and get to know the people better - therefore we will be working remotely for most of the week. Since we have been married we have devoted our lives to full-time ministry and living by faith (generous financial gifts from believers) - this will not change. We would like to thank you for your faithful support and prayers. Thank you for journeying with us - we can't do what we do without you!

Prayer Requests: Pray for Wisdom and Guidance as we prepare to embark on this new journey the LORD has called us on. Pray for Worcester Baptist as they prepare to welcome us. Pray for divine appointments and sensitivity to the LORD's leading in our lives and ministry this year.

Wishing you a joyous 2022! Remember with gratitude all the good memories you made last year and may your life be so full of wonders and grace in the New Year!
Africa Rising: In July God-willing, we plan on travelling to Tanzania with the INcontext team. The idea behind such a trip is to inspire the African Church to arise and take their rightful place in global missions.
Generation Next Durban: This year God-willing, we hope to travel to Durban and host a Generation Next event. The focus of this event will be to inspire youth and young adults for missions in Durban and surrounding areas. This picture was taken from last year's mission exposure.
Missions Exposure: In 2022 INcontext International’s departments: Generation Next and Beyond Borders would like to host an exposure trip in Cape Town in September 2022. After much discussion and prayer, we have felt led to facilitate a mission’s exposure trip within our own nation. God is on a mission to call the nations unto Himself and He is inviting you to join hands with Him! Our focus scripture for this exposure trip is: Rev 7:9 “I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.” Through this missions exposure it is the desire of our heart to expose you to a different culture, religion, and way of life – by walking with you beyond your community, reaching beyond our usual circle of friends & stretching out beyond the known of our comfort zones within your own culture and country! As part of our program, we would like to expose you to 2 people groups that are barely reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ and they live right at our doorstep! Please prayerfully consider contributing toward us going on any of the above trips and ministry work. (Bank details are at the bottom of this email, please use the reference: Missions)
