Dear Prayer Partners
We are looking forward to getting back into ministry in the tsunami area and seeing if any of the seed we have planted and that you have been praying for has germinated and showing some signs of life! We finished our quarantine on Saturday and were able to meet the believers on Sunday though Rod had been preaching remotely before then. It is nice to be free. The Japanese quarantine was quite strict with 3 days in a hotel and 11 days at home and no going out. They also required contact by phone 4 x a day.
Events coming up are Student cafe 3rd Oct, Dachaya (a cooking class) at Gamo Oct 7th and 14th, miniconcert at Yuriage Oct 16th, Sunday Chapel at Gamo Oct 17th, Hallelujah meeting at Yamamoto Oct 21st. Then every Wednesday we have Bible studies in the morning and evening and an English bible study on Fridays and of course services on Sundays. We hope that next month we might be able to restart fellowship meals and refreshments after the services.
Please pray for the longterm future of our church, for giving to increase to the level where the church can support a minister, for God to raise up a suitable man, and for land for a church.
This is a prophecy about Christ from the Old Testament, “He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.” Isaiah 42:4 Pray that Jesus will do what he has promised in the coastlands of Japan.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
love from Rod and Glenda
