Call to Prayer                                                                                         May 2021

Dear Prayer partners

We trust you are all well and encouraged as you are serving God.  These past months in Covid have been difficult for all of us. So many uncertainties and different opinions and thoughts have been floating about. One does not always know what to make of it all. We do pray that the Lord has helped you during this time. Perhaps you would like to share with us some testimony or incident where you experienced God closeness and presence. We would love to hear your experience.
You know our story, how God was with us and changed our ministry lives from Europe to South Africa. We feel so very blessed that God has provided for us. We know of a number of missionaries, other Christian workers and many other people who have lost ministry and work and income. Many are struggling to come to terms. It humbles us to be able to help some with the means God has provided.
Please share with us your experience, we would love to pray for you and for us to be encouraged.
Our ministry here in the Diepriver and Plumstead area has grown. This year has seen a slow but steady increase in attendance, especially in the Sunday school. We are awestruck to see how God has moved in the lives of people. On Sunday mornings we are preaching our way through the Gospel of John, this has been a wonderful experience and blessing. If anyone would like to listen to some of these messages you can find them on YouTube

For your prayers, please, every week I need to find the time to prepare a Wednesday evening Bible study and Sunday morning sermon. Often I have to lead worship and lead our Sunday evening fellowship group as well. I try to get out and do some visitation to the sick among us, and the inevitable memorial or funeral service needs to be done. These are things that I count as a great privilege to be involved in.
Pray for the refugee/migrant ministry. We will include some photos of the veggie garden that is developing. The goal is to grow veggies to help provide work and food for the refugees. Produce that is left will be sold in the church and the funds used for the ministry. This will not be nearly enough to help pay the accommodation for the refugees, so we ask you continue to pray for that.
Thank you for your ongoing prayer support for us and the ministry. Thank you for the financial support that we continue to receive. As always we thank God for the incredible support we receive and the many wonderful partners we have in ministry. As never before we depend on your prayers. In the current climate, Covid-related, and circumstances, with all the demands placed on us, we feel the creeping fingers of age and we need strength to keep going. Thank you for your partnership.
Yours in Christ alone,
Henry & Sonia

The picture show the progress made. The roof on the outbuilding will be used as a seed growth room.

It's so good to read Richard and Val news here. We are able to see the building of their home as it moves forward each week.
