Dear Prayer Partners
Today is the anniversary of the tsunami and we were blessed to have a new lady, Mrs Highbridge attend our bible study at Gamo. She had escaped from the tsunami which flooded her house and for sometime suffered with PTSD but is now quite recovered. She had attended a children’s evangelistic mission 60 years ago but apart from that knew nothing about the gospel. We are thankful the Lord led her back to hear of him again. How many there are who still haven’t heard!
Today various events and memorials are taking place throughout Japan. But to us the best way to honour the God who sent the tsunami is to get on with the good news of the kingdom.
In February at the concert in Yuriage, a lady asked us to not stop telling them the gospel even though its been 10 years! We are having another event there on 20th Mar. Please pray that those who attend will not just be content to listen to the bible and sing hymns but will receive the gospel with the ‘obedience of faith’ as Paul says. We are as straight-talking as we can be about the gospel, and sometimes I think they won’t come back, but they do.
Some more dates: Hallelujah meeting at Yamamoto on 18th Mar and craft and bible study at Gamo on 1st April.
On a personal note please pray that the Lord would soon open the door for us to visit family in UK.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
love from Rod and Glenda
