Dear Prayer Partners
Greetings in Jesus’ name from NE Japan! God has sent the church out into the world. He has also sent the coronavirus. He sent both. So we in Sendai have tried to continue the work of evangelism while taking every precaution not to spread the virus. God is shaking the kingdoms so that what cannot be shaken will remain (Heb. 12:26~). And who can say that is a bad thing? Attendance at evangelistic events as well as at regular church meetings has been quite good though please pray for conversions.
Here are some dates,
29th Nov Believers Meeting to discus the future development of the church, particular issues are giving and lay leadership.
3rd Dec Craft and evangelism at Gamo. Mrs S is very keen to help us but needs to renew her faith in the only Saviour. She was baptised as a student but now says she doesn’t believe.
6th Dec Student meeting by Zoom.
17th Dec Hallelujah meeting in Yamamoto. Pray for co-workers the Lauers as they try to plant a church in this country area that was hit by the tsunami.
19th Dec Mini-concert at Yuriage. We still need workers to serve at this.
20th Dec Christmas service at church and Sunday chapel at Gamo.
The house at Hitokita is nearly finished and hopefully will be wall-papered in January, and then we can use it for evangelism.
10-year old True-Service says he wants to be baptised and he shows signs of being a true believer. Please pray for him and the 4 other boys who attend our worship services.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
love from Rod and Glenda
