I would define my parliamentary ministry in the following way:
1. I am the Baptist Union Chaplain in Parliament. Being chaplain means that
I minister to members of parliament in these specific ways:
A. I pray for and with them.
B. I share the scriptures and a word of exhortation with them.
C. I make myself available to minister to their families as well.
D. I attend the National Assembly debates and the Parliamentary committee
meetings which provide me with the opportunity to meet with members of
parliament from different political parties.
E. I am part of the Parliamentary prayer group that meet on the first or
second Friday of every month. I'm also part of a Parliamentary prayer group that
meet in the Provincial legislature once a month on Saturday mornings.
Stay blessed
Daniel
