Dear Prayer Partners
Greetings in Jesus’ name from Sendai!
Yes we are back in Japan. We found we could get a flight from Cape Town to Jo’burg and so avoided the long drive. The charter flight was straightforward and used an Air Zimbabwe plane, basic but efficient and competent with the stewards/esses in hazmat suits. At Kuala Lumpur airport which was closed to most commercial flights they were ready for us and put our luggage onto the flight to Japan which left that night. We have never needed so many bits of paper for each flight. In Japan we had a PCR test at the airport and an interview with immigration when we were finally let in. Woody Lauer our colleague from Yamamoto very kindly came to fetch us. Our tests proved negative and now we are quarantining at home. So it was an epic 3-day journey. Thank you for your prayers. Without doubt God was looking after us and carried us here.
Rod is preaching on Sunday 12th and we hope we can slowly restart most meetings soon. Bible Studies restart in the church on 15th We have a Hallelujah meeting on 16th at Yamamoto.
Please pray on for those who have not had much fellowship during the lockdown either through not making the effort or not having the technology. Pray for those tsunami evacuees who haven’t heard the Word for the past 6 months that God will still speak by his Spirit in the inner man.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
love from Rod and Glenda
