Dear Friends,

We begin with wishing you all God s richest blessings in this New Year. We started the year with our annual ZEMA Conference, this was a time when the missionaries associated with ZEMA gathered for fellowship, enrichment and encouragement. We were particularly blessed by the ministry of Pastor Dean Meistre and the Glenwood Community Church who took care of the morning devotions, caring for the children and doing the catering,. We were really spoilt!

2020 not only begins as a new year but a new decade and NEW THINGS for the Sullivan family. Firstly , we are going to NEW Zealand and Australia ! Andy has been invited to do a wedding in March of one of our young adults from Scottsville Baptist who is now living in Australia. The wedding will be near Wellington, New Zealand. We plan to visit South African friends and share in some churches about our ministry with ZEMA. Please pray that the Lord will provide the opportunities to share and for open hearts and open doors to invite us.

Secondly, we have bought a NEW HOUSE! The house next door to us (number 104) has been vacant for about two years as the husband passed away and his wife moved to Joburg to be with her family. Casi will be covering most of the financial load but we are putting our "retirement investment " in a s well . The reason for buying the house is to use it in two ways firstly, as a " place of refuge and rest " f or those in full time ministry. (We have allowed family and friends to use our place when we go away, which triggered the concept.) Secondly, it will be rented out as a holiday home at commercial rates during the holiday seasons. Please pray that the Lord will guide and provide the right people at the right times.

Ministry news: During December 2019 we stayed at Andrea and Quintin s home while they went on an ocean cruise to Mozambique. While we were in Pinetown, Andy preached at Pinetown Baptist on the Sundays before and after Christmas. On Christmas Eve we attended a service at Westville Baptist and on Christmas Day we attended Pinetown Baptist when Pastor Jason preached.

We have already started the new year with preaching and meetings, as Andy preached at Idwala Church and then attended a Consultation with various Bible Schools that use the South Coast Bible School material. They came from as far as Swaziland and the Eastern Cape (Tylden). Other Bible Schools are in Empangeni and Tongaat . We praise the Lord for these opportunities for ministry.

Family news : Kirsten and family spent Christmas in Tulbach and Cape Town. Georgia has started " big school " and is at the same school as Riley. Casi continues to enjoy her work and home life.

An anonymous poem appeared in the Church of England Magazine on March 3, 1858

which makes a great prayer for the new year.

Prince of Peace, control my will; Bid my struggling heart be still;

Bid my fears and doubts to cease, Hush my spirit into peace.

May Thy will, not mine, be done; May Thy will and mine be one;

Chase these doubtings from my heart, Now Thy perfect peace impart.
